After months of chipping away at its lead, Google Chrome has finally overtaken Internet Explorer to become most popular web browser worldwide.
Chrome’s share of the market rose to 32.8% in the week ending May 20, while Internet Explorer’s share of the market dropped to 31.9%, according to new data from StatCounter, via TheNextWeb. This marks the first full week that Chrome has beaten Explorer.

I was at Pukehou School today and we have been moving the staff over to Firefox as Internet Explorer does not have an integrated spell check and Google Chrome is not compatible with Assembly, the Student Management System they are moving to.
I had asked the staff to check if they had Firefox loaded and if not to upload it. For those who already had it installed I asked them to check if they had the latest version of Firefox and if not to update it. This drew the question I should have foreseen, “How do you check which version you have?”
