Google Reader for Android

On the 1st December Google finally released their Android Google Reader App.

It supports the basic things you expect in a reader like unread counts, friends, sharing, liking, and starring. Google also report it has:

  • Multiple accounts
  • Synced preferences
  • Full subscription features (subscribe and search from your phone)
  • Search

Some of the “hidden” features include:

  • Volume-key navigation: use your phone’s volume keys for next and previous
  • Long-press on a folder or subscription to rename, unsubscribe or change folders
  • Hit the menu key on an individual item to use the “send” feature using any 3rd party app

Here’s a link to the app on Android Market. It should run on Donut and higher.
