Desktop Screen Video Resolutionator- anator for eLearning Screen Video Sessions

When creating graphics, screens, or courses, I always layout my screen with margin and functional guides before I begin. You know, the lines pulled from the rulers that assist in element layout. Over the years and hundreds of screen video sessions later, I realized there is one layout tool that I use all the time for screen video sessions, and I wanted to share.
The “Desktop Screen Video Resolutionator- anator” or DSVR for short. To put simply,  it’s the background image on my desktop that indicates my chosen resolutions for applications, browser windows etc. being used in my elearning courses. When I capture screen video, I can fit my windows into the boundaries, keeping consistent window position, and I don’t need to change my screen resolution. The DSVR makes my screen video capture sessions much more efficient. Otherwise, I end up move my “recording frame” all the time.  (I rarely capture all of my screen to save on file size.)
